Maxim Kosinov is a violinist known for his ability to captivate audiences with his combination of virtuosity and sophistication. Born in St Petersburg (1983) he combines the great Russian musical tradition with wideranging experience gained through a myriad of artistic collaborations in Europe.

After graduating from the Specialist Music School in St. Petersburg in 2001, Maxim went on to study with Uwe Martin Haiberg at the Universität der Künste in Berlin, where he obtained a diploma in 2009. His teachers also included Vladimir Ovtcharek in Saint Petersburg, and Marie Leonhard (baroque violin) in Amsterdam. He has participated in masterclasses with renowned violinists, including Gerard Poulet and György Pauk. Maxim is very grateful for the generous support of the Gartow Foundation and the Zeit Foundation (Germany) as well as the Hattori Foundation (UK).

Since his first solo recital at the age of five, Maxim has regularly appeared as a soloist in Russia, as well as internationally in some prestigious venues such as the Philharmonic Hall in Saint Petersburg, Laeiszhalle Hamburg and Seoul Arts Centre to name a few. He has performed with orchestras including the Sofia Philharmonic, the Opole Philharmonic, the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra and the OSUANL orchestra in Monterrey, Mexico. Maxim won Second Prize and the Audience Prize at the Max Rostal Competition in Berlin among several other successes at international violin competitions.

As a baroque violinist, Maxim has been playing in the Catherine the Great Orchestra in Saint-Petersburg and in the Orchestra of the Dutch Bach Society in 20012003. Most recently, he has been leading projects at the orchestra Orfeo 55, France, under Nathalie Stutzmann.

Maxim is an experienced orchestral player. He has been holding the concertmaster positions in the Munich Radio Orchestra and the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra in 2012-2015. In the september 2015 he was appointed as a new leader of the Duisburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Germany.

Maxim Kosinov es un violinista conocido por su capacidad para cautivar al público gracias a una combinación de virtuosismo y sofisticación. Nacido en San Petersburgo en 1983, combina la gran tradición musical rusa con una amplia experiencia adquirida a través de un sinfín de colaboraciones artísticas en Europa. Tras graduarse en la Specialist Music School en San Petersburgo en 2001, Maxim estudió con Uwe Martin Haiberg en la Universität der Künste de Berlín, donde se diplomó en 2009. Se formó con los maestros Vladimir Ovtcharek en San Petersburgo y con Marie Leonhard (violín barroco) en Amsterdam. Fuertemente influenciado por Reinhard Goebel, actualmente está desarrollando su carrera artística como solista y concertino.

Desde su primer recital como solista con tan solo cinco años de edad, Maxim ha aparecido regularmente como solista tanto en Rusia como a nivel internacional en auditorios de prestigio como la Philharmonic Hall de San Petersburgo, Laeiszhalle en Hamburgo y Arts Centre de Seúl por nombrar sólo algunos. Ha actuado con numerosas orquestas como la Sofia Philharmonic, la Opole Philharmonic, la Hamburg Symphony Orchestra y la Orquesta Sinfónica de la UANL en Monterrey, México. Maxim ganó el Segundo Premio y el Premio del Público en el Max Rostal Competition de Berlín entre varios otros éxitos en concursos internacionales de violín.

En su faceta como violinista barroco, Maxim ha actuado con la Catherine the Great Orchestra en San Petersburgo y con la Orchestra of the Dutch Bach Society entre 2001 y 2003. Más recientemente, ha sido concertino en distintos proyectos con la orquesta Orfeo 55, bajo la dirección musical de Nathalie Stutzmann.

Maxim desarrolla intensamente su carrera como concertino y lidera regularmente orquestas de toda Europa, como la WDR Symphony Orchestra Cologne, la Lucerne Symphony Orchestra, la Flanders Symphony Orchestra, La Madrileña y la Orquesta Filarmonica de Gran Canaria, por nombrar solo algunas. Anteriormente, ocupó cargos de concertino en la Orquesta Sinfónica de La Monnaie en Bruselas, la Orquesta Sinfónica de Hamburgo, la Orquesta Filarmónica de Duisburg y la Orquesta de la Radio de Munich.
